Educational information

Our schools are members of the PASCH network, www.pasch.de. Germany's Ministry of Foreign Affairs designed this programme to ensure the quality of german taught in schools outside the country.

Our language schools are also members of the Canadian Association of German Language Schools (KVDS) www.kvds.ca, which supports the interests of the language schools in Canada.

To achieve this, we have modern and electronic teaching and learning material aiming at success with the acquisition of german language diplomas.

Learning is done within a well structured plan designed by specialists according to the norms established by the Common European Framework of Reference for languages. This plan defines progress at different learning levels and gives you a detailed linguistic profile to guide you.

Listening and visualision
You can recognize familiar words, basic phrases and simple structures concerning your surroundings You can understand phrases related to areas of personal relevance and catch the main point in simple messages You can understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters and of many radio and TV programmes You can understand extended speech and lectures and the majority of films in standard dialect
Reading comprehension
You can understand familiar names, words, very simple sentences and the gist of information You can read very short, simple texts and find specific information in everyday material such as menus and timetables You can understand texts of everyday and job-related language and descriptions of events and feelings You can read articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems and understand literary prose
Spoken Interaction
You can interact in a simple way and answer simple questions on familiar topics You can use a series of sentences to describe your family, other people and your educational background You can connect phrases in order to describe experiences and events and give reasons for opinions and plans You can interact with a degree of fluency and take an active part in discussions and sustain your views
Writing
You can write a short, simple postcard and fill in forms with personal details, such as a hotel registration form You can write short, simple notes, messages or a personal letter, such as thanking someone for something You can write simple connected texts on familiar topics and personal letters describing experiences You can write clear and detailed essays and reports on a wide range of subjects related to your interests
Grammar
You can apply, almost correctly, grammatical basic structures in familiar situations concerning your surroundings You can apply, most correctly, elaborated grammatical structures in simple terms and sentences You can correctly apply mostly used grammatical structures in phrases and sentences of interest to you You can apply and correct a repertory of grammatical structures and current rhetorics by yourself
